Uncle Scoopy's Top 20 Nude Scenes of 1995

Overview:

At the end of every year since 1999, the readers of Uncle Scoopy's Fun House and related sites have chosen their favorite nude scenes from the year that just passed.

This poll marks the fourth time that the poll has been extended into the past for the years prior to the "live poll" era.

1995 had five scenes which stood head and shoulders above the others, all of them nudity classics we still discuss today. It was such a good year that Elizabeth Berkley could not win, although she was a popular TV actress who had never done nude scenes before, and got totally naked throughout the film in great lighting, including open crotch shots! She finished second to Alyssa Milano, another young actress who grew up before our eyes, in Embrace of the Vampire. Three other scenes might have been the top scene in a weaker year: Natasha Henstridge in Species, Salma Hayek in Desperado, and Mimi Rogers in Full Body Massage.

(Milano was so popular that she almost took two spots in the top ten. Her topless scene in TV's The Outer Limits earned her the #11 slot.)

Two other scenes finished in the top seven because of the stars involved rather than the contents: Holly Marie Combs and Molly Ringwald rarely did nudity in their careers, so their appearances here received substantial polling support from their fans. Ringwald didn't show much, but her reputation as America's girl next door, coupled with the high quality of what she did show, got her all the way to the #4 spot.

There were some other incredible performances that were just as impressive as the top five, but didn't poll as well because they were in foreign or obscure films. Renata Dancewicz caught enough eyes in Devilish Education to make the list below, but Victoria Abril got exactly zero votes for her total nudity in French Twist, and the beautiful Amy Irving could only muster a single vote despite offering full-frontal nudity in Kleptomania. I could cite many similar examples of outstanding nudity which failed to attract significant support in the voting.

1995 was impressive not just for the quality of the champions, but for the vast quantity of nude scenes. It was a time when many mainstream films included nudity, many top actresses disrobed completely, and some of the nudity was graphic. There wasn't much cable nudity of significance, unlike the world that exists as I type this in 2018, but it seemed that every movie had some.
