Uncle Scoopy's Top 20 Nude Scenes of 2018

Overview:

For the 20th consecutive year, the readers of Uncle Scoopy's Fun House and related sites have chosen their favorite nude scenes.

It was a great year, reminiscent of the mid-90s. As I wrote about 1996, the second twenty from 2018 are as good or better than the first twenty from some other years. In fact, there are probably 25 or more 2018 scenes that could have finished #1 in 2008!

Lady Gaga, one of the ten biggest stars on the planet, did a full-frontal nude scene and could not make the top twenty. Chloe Sevigny walked around stark naked in daylight for more than a minute and could not crack the top twenty. There were many other tremendous scenes that were shunted aside by the astoundingly competitive field:

Aubrey Plaza in Legion
Florence Pugh in The Outlaw King
Juliette Lewis and Ione Skye in Camping
Amanda Seyfried in Anon
Dakota Johnson in 50 Shades Freed
etc.

There were some surprises for me.

I did not expect Sally Hawkins to win. Oh, objectively it is a worthy winner, in that it’s a great nude performance in Oscar's Best Picture winner, but I didn’t even expect Sally to finish in the top ten because the film was first seen in January, and I figured “out of sight, out of mind.” And after all, she doesn't fit the usual pattern of our winners - familiar young women getting naked for the first time. By the way, there has been a bit of backlash against this film. It is rated only 7.4 at IMDb, which is low for the Oscar champion.

I thought it would be between Lachman, Lawrence, Gilpin and Pike. I was surprised that people liked Higareda’s scene in Altered Carbon slightly more than Lachman’s, but both scenes were excellent. Altered Carbon was absolutely the rookie of the year.
